Kaleidoscope
pink, red, orange, lavender
the sinking sun
slips from our horizon
into dancing shadows
The breeze stills to a whisper
Doves perch and coo
Noisy streets now calm
Solitude, softness in the air
A slow sigh escapes
Quieting the hectic day
